Timothy Cunningham, EIT

Fire Protection Designer

Timothy has worked for several years in the fire protection engineering industry since graduating from the University of Maryland. He brings a comprehensive background in the design, coordination, and fabrication of fire suppression systems including creation of drawings, hydraulic calculations, permit packages & product submittals for full project lifecycles. Timothy also has experience in emergency service organization risk management, making industry contributions through his roles as principal on two NFPA Technical Committees. His interest in fire protection engineering stems from his love of problem solving. Each project presents new challenges that are overcome with innovative designs and skillsets from a range of disciplines because sometimes, the most unconventional ideas may have the most impactful results.

What do you do outside of work?

I am passionate about sustainable agriculture. I own and operate a small farm in a more rural area of Maryland with a menagerie of livestock and improvement projects that keeps me very busy.
