From a young age, it was clear that Brighid had a creative mind. Her many hours spent drawing, painting and creating led to architectural drafting courses, which, in turn, introduced her to the built environment. With an aptitude for math and science, engineering was a natural fit. Ultimately, the complexities and subleties of mechanical systems captivated her and helped guide her into mechanical engineering. She is driven by the challenge of designing systems that promote occupant well-being, sustainability, and efficiency, while remaining virtually unnoticeable to building occupants.

What do you do outside of work?

I am a liifelong equestrian, so you can usually find me at the barn with my horse. When I’m not at the barn, I enjoy reading, playing board games, and spending time outdoors.
