Our 3rd indoor firing range design in as many years, the City of Fairfax Indoor Firing Range is used by the police departments of the City of Fairfax, City of Falls Church, and George Mason University. The single-story structure contains a 3800 SF, eight-lane firing range as well as a range control room, weapons cleaning and simulation rooms, ammunition and range equipment storage, classrooms, and offices. The building is situated in a residential area so special consideration was given to reduce noise from the range and HVAC systems.

The mechanical systems includes a custom range ventilation system with HEPA filtration and sound attenuation. The electrical design provides service upgrades to support the new HVAC equipment as well as LED light fixtures and occupancy. Plumbing design includes a gas-fired, high efficiency tankless water heater.
