Summer Consultants provided electrical engineering design services for the provision of power to a new 4,000 SF scoreboard at PNC Arena. The arena is home to the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team and the North Carolina State University men’s basketball team.

The new scoreboard is three times the size of the original scoreboard.  Project features include the provision of a new 225 kVA transformer to supply power to the scoreboard alongside an existing 150 kVA transformer on the arena catwalk and coordination of the power feed for a new hoist.

Summer Consultants also provided power for lighting within the PNC Arena under a separate project.
